Edit Glavurtić was born in 1965 in Split, Croatia.
She was educated in Zagreb. After finishing the School of Applied Arts she continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, painting department, where she graduated in 1988.
After completing school she went to live in Vienna, Austria where in 1995 she gets her Master’s Degree in painting at the "Schule für Angewandte Kunst". 

During a period of seeking her own artistic expression she paints abstract studies, city scenes using watercolor technique, studies of nature: trees, shells, rocks and grass, and in 1997 the Edit creates her first Angel painting.
After that, the Angels are an inexhaustible source of inspiration, both in paintings and in poems, meditations, and reflections.

Edit Glavurtić exhibited her paintings in more than twenty solo exhibitions and her paintings of angels are in various collections in Europe, North America and Asia.
She lives and works in Zagreb and Vienna.
